The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of a building and the surrounding grounds.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintaining all center areas in clean and sanitary conditions, including floor waxing and scrubbing cots at regular intervals.
• Responsible for minor repairs of center equipment.
• Removal of debris from premises and rake sandbox.
• Clean walls
• Clean partitions – blinds
• Clean toilet bowls, sinks and walls
• Clean windows (interior & exterior)
• Sweep all mats and carpet in and out of offices
• Grounds maintenance
• Bring up food trays and return them after meal time, if applicable.
• Attend in-service and pre-service trainings.
• Adhere to the Performance Standards and Local/County Regulations.
• Any other duties assigned by the CEO/Executive Director, Senior Manager, or Site Supervisor.

Requirements:

1.   Satisfactory previous experience in doing minor repairs and cleaning.

2.   Ability to relate well to children and adults.

3.   High School Diploma/GED.

For over 50 years, the EOC of Nassau County, Inc., has provided programs and services to the low-income Nassau County residents. During the past year, approximately 41,000 unduplicated low-income children, youth, individuals, and families accessed EOC programs and services. As a Community action Agency, the EOC of Nassau County, Inc., is a direct support for the county's residents who live at or below the federal poverty level.
