DESCRIPTION
Working under the direct supervision of the Teacher, the Teacher’s AIDE assists in
the management of a group of 13-17 children ages 3 - 5 years.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Teacher/Teacher Assistant in supervision of the children in the classroom and outdoors during the entire day and support the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth of the children.
Cooperate with all staff in protecting the health, safety, and welfare of the children
Assist in all aspects of the education program with teacher supervision and guidance.
Participation in schedule workshops, in-service trainings and formal trainings on a continuous basis.
Carry out Head Start Performance Standards in accordance with all components areas.
Will circulate for classroom coverage.
Any other duties deemed necessary the CEO/ Executive Director or Senior Management and all program activities as it relates to the Mission of the Agency.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma | GED
Show warmth and understanding in working with children and adults of all ethnic background.
Ability to work in team relationships.
Interested in learning.
Ability to read, write and speak effectively.
Ability to complete the Child Development Association (CDA) credentialing program.
Must have experience working with children 3 - 5 years of
