About the Event

The COVID-19 pandemic has taught us that the world is connected. Economies that are connected with their citizens will adapt and flourish while those that can't will not. Knowledge of technology thus must be a part of every global citizen.

If you have always wanted to learn to use a personal computer, operating under Microsoft Windows, using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Publisher effectively, now is your chance. We will also give you the skills you need to put together a professional resume, understand Excel spreadsheets as well as functions, make a PowerPoint presentation to surprise your audience and more. Get the skills you need to get the job you want and desserve, become a savvy office computer user today.

This course is for beginners as well as intermediate computer users and it's offered at NO COST. But you must qualify.

Learn job search skills, how to dress for success, gain resume writing skills, interviewing skills, and also meet some nice people just like you. For your safety and ours this course is taught in a socially-distanced classroom. This means we have a limited number of stations available so it is important that you reserve your spot. To get one you must first qualify. Give us a call and make an appointment for an interview at the Displaced Homemakers Program by calling (516) 292-9710 ext.1818. Public transportation assistance available for those who show need. Public parking available in the surrounding area (bring quarters to feed the parking meter)

The Economic Opportunity Commission of Nassau County, Inc. (EOC) offers its services to all community residents regardless of legal, socioeconomic, religious belief, race or gender. If you are human, you are welcome.
