DESCRIPTION

Working under the direct supervision of the Teacher, the Teacher’s AIDE assists in
the management of a group of 13-17 children ages 3 - 5 years.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist the Teacher/Teacher Assistant in supervision of the children in the classroom and outdoors during the entire day and support the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth of the children.

  • Cooperate with all staff in protecting the health, safety, and welfare of the children

  • Assist in all aspects of the education program with teacher supervision and guidance.

  • Participation in schedule workshops, in-service trainings and formal trainings on a continuous basis.

  • Carry out Head Start Performance Standards in accordance with all components areas.

  • Will circulate for classroom coverage.

  • Any other duties deemed necessary the CEO/ Executive Director or Senior Management and all program activities as it relates to the Mission of the Agency.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma | GED

  • Show warmth and understanding in working with children and adults of all ethnic background.

  • Ability to work in team relationships.

  • Interested in learning.

  • Ability to read, write and speak effectively.

  • Ability to complete the Child Development Association (CDA) credentialing program.

  • Must have experience working with children 3 - 5 years of
