As part of the program, employment services are provided to clients who are seeking assistance with job readiness and employment. Interviewing techniques and resume writing are part of the employment program. A job bank is available for clients’ review, and counseling for career direction is given to each client. Appointments are made for employment interviews and resumes are faxed to prospective employers.

Displaced Homemakers may be women who are widowed, separated, divorced, victims of domestic violence, a woman whose husband has become disabled or a mother who is receiving public assistance and is reaching the limit of her grant. Displaced Homemakers may not have been in the work force for a number of years, but may have worked in the home providing unpaid services for family members.
